TEILNAHMEBEDINGUNGEN — WEB2LABS LEADERBOARDS & REWARDS

These are the participation rules ("Teilnahmebedingungen") for the Web2Labs Leaderboards and their reward system. They supplement the general Terms of Service (esp. Section 13) and the Privacy Policy. In case of conflict, these Teilnahmebedingungen prevail for matters specific to the Leaderboards.

2. The Leaderboards

The Leaderboards are an ongoing, recurring feature: rankings run in weekly (XP) and monthly (growth) periods across tiered leagues (Bronze up to Champion). At the end of each period, rankings are finalized, rewards are distributed, promotions/demotions between leagues are applied, and a new period begins. There is no fixed end date; we may pause, change, or discontinue the feature as described in § 9.

3. Teilnahmeberechtigung / Eligibility

• Participation is free. No purchase is required — a Web2Labs free-tier account is sufficient, and paid plans do not improve your ranking.
• Participants must be at least 18 years old and located where the feature is offered. The UK exclusion in the Terms of Service applies. There is no parental-consent exception.
• The account must be in good standing (not suspended or terminated).
• One (1) participating account per person. Multi-accounting, smurfing, or operating more than one account to boost a single person's results is prohibited and leads to disqualification.

4. Teilnahme / How to participate

Participation happens through normal use of the Services:

1. Sign in or create a Web2Labs account.
2. Earn XP through activity (and growth points via connected social accounts, where you have linked them).
3. Your score places you in a league for the current period.

You can stop participating at any time by not accruing XP/growth or by disconnecting linked accounts; public visibility of your profile follows your profile settings.

5. Ranking and reward determination

• Rankings are calculated by the Web2Labs scoring engine (XP and growth signals) at the close of each period.
• Web2Labs may recompute scores, disqualify participants, or reset affected results to correct demonstrable errors or enforce the rules that applied to the period. We explain material enforcement decisions and provide the appeal route in § 7. Changes to scoring rules for future periods follow § 9; a later rule change does not by itself justify removing a result earned under the earlier rules.
• No score, rank, league, badge, or reward is guaranteed until it has been officially distributed.

6. Rewards

Current rewards are digital:

• Digital rewards have no monetary value, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
• Special prize promotions. If we run a specific promotion with additional prizes (e.g., physical merchandise), we will publish supplemental Teilnahmebedingungen for that promotion — including the promotion period, the prize table, eligibility restrictions by jurisdiction, and winner notification/claim rules — before the promotion starts, linked from the Leaderboard page. Physical prizes are not offered outside such announced promotions.

7. Anti-Gaming-Policy

The following behavior leads to disqualification, score reset, reward withholding, and may lead to account suspension or termination:

• operating more than one Web2Labs account ("multi-accounting" / "smurfing");
• purchased, fake, or inauthentic engagement on any connected social platform;
• automated or scripted interaction with the Services;
• collusion or vote trading between accounts;
• circumvention of rate limits, account-age thresholds, or other anti-gaming controls;
• any behavior that Web2Labs reasonably considers abusive or manipulative.

Web2Labs uses automated checks and manual review. A restriction may initially result from an automated check; it is not necessarily reviewed by a person before taking effect. Where a decision is made wholly or partly by automated means, this is disclosed in the statement of reasons. Decisions may be appealed via [email protected] within six months. Appeals receive human review, and we aim to respond within 14 days. The appeal process does not limit your statutory rights or access to court proceedings.

8. Datenschutz / Privacy

Participation data (account, XP, growth, league, badges, anti-gaming signals) is processed on the legal bases set out in the Privacy Policy — principally Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of these Teilnahmebedingungen) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in fair play). We may display your Web2Labs username, avatar, rank, and league on public leaderboards; visibility follows your profile settings. Retention periods are listed in the Privacy Policy § 7.

9. Änderungen / Changes

Web2Labs may modify scoring rules, leagues, or rewards, or pause/terminate the Leaderboards, where required by law or where the proper conduct of the feature cannot be ensured (e.g., technical failure, large-scale abuse). Material changes will be announced via in-product notice with reasonable lead time; earned permanent badges remain on your profile.

10. Kein Glücksspiel / No gambling

The Leaderboards are skill- and activity-based. Outcomes are determined by the Web2Labs scoring engine based on earned XP and growth, not by chance. No payment is required to participate. The feature is not a lottery or Glücksspiel within the meaning of § 3 GlüStV.

11. Anwendbares Recht / Governing law

These Teilnahmebedingungen are governed by German law (CISG excluded). Consumers benefit from the mandatory protections of their country of residence.

12. Salvatorische Klausel / Severability

If any provision of these Teilnahmebedingungen is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
