Why Web2Labs has a blog now
News covers what changes on the platforms. The Blog covers what changes inside Web2Labs: what we built, what we got wrong, and why we made each call.

Web2Labs 2 is out. It felt like the right day to open a place where I can show you the work behind it, not only the result.
News is about the platforms. This is about us.
Web2Labs already has News. News follows what changes on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and the other platforms, and what that means for your channel. It is about the world you create in.
The Blog is about Web2Labs itself. When we change how Studio finds a clip, add a tool, fix something that got in your way or decide not to build something, this is where I explain it. Keeping the two apart means you never have to dig through our product notes to find platform news, or the other way round.
What you will find here
- What we shipped and the reasons behind it, in more detail than the changelog in the footer can hold.
- The decisions we made, including the ones that cost us something.
- Mistakes, and what we changed after them.
- How we check whether something actually got better.
How we write it
When a post talks about a feature, the feature is live. If something is still in Beta, the post says so. If we got a fact wrong, the "Report an error" link at the top of every post sends your correction straight to our inbox.
Posts do not have comments. If you want to talk about one, come over to the Community. That is where the conversation already happens.
Where this goes
The changelog stays the quick list of what changed. The Blog is for the story behind it. If you want every new post as it appears, the Blog has an RSS feed at web2labs.com/blog/rss.xml.
Thanks for reading. Now back to work.
