Meanwhile, Meta's recommendation machine keeps getting more AI-native. Why creators should care
Attention: your distribution is increasingly shaped by AI systems that don't "read" intent. They read patterns. If you're pumping out perfectly-smooth AI content, you may win speed... and lose the signal that you're a real person worth following.
Monetization: audiences are still uneasy about AI in advertising. One survey packaged via EMARKETER/CivicScience found nearly two-thirds of U.S. adults feel uneasy about AI-generated ads. Pick your "AI lane" (and keep it mostly backstage). Use AI heavily for research, outlines, clip selection, alt text, metadata, and drafts. Keep the on-camera voice, the spicy takes, and the final edit human. That's the part people actually follow.
Build a tiny "truth pack" for your content. A doc with your product claims, bio facts, pricing, guarantees, and your "never say this" list. Feed that to your tools. If AI can't cite your source-of-truth, it doesn't get to invent one.
Add a mandatory "cringe + claims" pass. One quick review where you check: (1) anything that sounds like a statistic, (2) anything that names a person/company, (3) anything that could be read as medical/financial/legal advice, and (4) whether it sounds like you - or like a LinkedIn ghostwriter.
Assume disclosure rules will tighten, not loosen. YouTube already asks for disclosure on realistic synthetic/altered media. TikTok is auto-labeling via credentials in some cases. Act like that trend continues: avoid using real people's likeness/voice without clear permission, and don't build a content business on "nobody will notice."
